Outward Bound International newsletters have specific themes
, regular columns and offer small stipends for writers of
lead articles. The upcoming deadline for submissions is
March 18, 2005.

Regular Columns:

Lessons from the Past: This section will be a historical
look at Outward Bound, Outdoor Education, Experiential
Education, etc. It is designed to share lessons and stories
of the past that may inform current practices.

Board Room: This section is designed to support board
members in their important role at Outward Bound as well as
to introduce new board members both internationally and at
local schools.

Safety and Quality: To continue its mission ensuring the
highest quality and safety around the world, OBI will have
articles of interest on this issue both from Outward Bound
schools and outside experts.

Curriculum Corner: This will focus on curriculum that
addresses the theme of the issue. We also welcome sharing of
ideas and resources for all types of programming.

School Profiles: To better understand each of the schools
around the world we will have periodic sections profiling
individual schools.

News from Around the World: We continue this update section
with short information about "what's happening" at
individual schools.

Resources: This section will have interesting books,
trainings, conferences and other materials that are
pertinent to the work of Outward Bound.

OBI News: As we have done in the past, we will continue to
have sections dedicated to international news that is
important to share.

EDITORIAL CALENDAR:
Outward Bound International will offer up to $100 for a lead
article and $50 for other accepted articles written on the
theme of each newsletter.

* All articles must be written in English and emailed in
Microsoft Word format.
* Lead articles cannot exceed 1000 words.
* Regular column articles should be between 500-800
words. * Around the world submissions and editorial
comments 30 words or less

The next deadline for submissions is March 18, 2005.
